Bunting for Layers of Stitch -
April 2015 Meeting

We plan to make bunting for the branch and will be starting it at the April meeting. If you would like to help the the requirements list is:
Sewing kit with scissors, fabric of your choice (some will be available) threads, and whatever you wish to decorate with, beads, buttons, trim, etc.

Letters (rectangle) – We will supply a felt letter in Royal Blue, which will be ready to apply to any colour
fabric of your choice, finished size 6.5” wide and 7.5” deep. Please add hem if using cotton or fine fabric
with a backing. A fabric strip 7” x 15.5” minimum would be ideal. You could also use felt. The letters or surrounds can then be decorated to your choice, add embroidery, beads, sequins etc. etc.

Chicken and Egg (triangle, bunting) – Again fabric of your choice, any colour, but a standard bunting shape designed to hang down, finished size 7” wide at top and 9.5” to tip, again add hem if needed, a template to trace round will be available. We would like to have a chicken, egg, feather etc, decoration on each
one, any medium (but please remember it should be easy to store) so bring along ideas – let your imagination
go wild! Plus bring any threads and embellishments needed.

If you are not sure you wish to participate or would prefer to produce something at home you are always welcome to bring something else to work on during the day.

The one stitch and travelling books will continue as usual and a quick reminder of the Easter egg decoration project which is still ongoing.

We hope to see you all at the meeting on 7th April and wish you a restful and sunny Easter break.
